The new King of Camelot has been crowned, long live the King!

Uther is still getting used to the weight of the crown, so might look slightly awkward at times, but he's in a very good mood.

Although that could be because of the wine that's flowing freely in the Main Hall.

The tables have quite a bit of food upon them, although compared to previous coronations this one is almost understated.

Feel free to poke the new king or talk amongst yourselves!

Vivienne is at the celebration, though for someone so experienced in courtly matters, she's keeping to herself for the most part.

It's easier to scan the room from the spot she's found. If there's a calculating look on her face, it's one of a huntress. She's hunting for a suitable situation, and given the rumour (not entirely untrue) floating around court about her, time is of the essence.

She moves about easily. Ygriane is recognised because of Tristan's reputation. Her brother's presence is felt everywhere and she is proud of him. Not as much as Uther when she saw him crowned today. There were many whispers about a lady that was quite sensational. Ygraine keeps her eyes open for this lady.

They meet, yay!

The lady in question knows who Ygraine is. One would have to be entirely unpolitic not to, given the whispersthe princess is meant to be the King's bride.

Two women, completely different, but had the exact same treatment upon arrival in Camelot.

For all her annoyance at Uther, Vivienne isn't one to transfer it to the innocent so she'll spare a smile and curtsy for Ygraine.

She smiles and nods to acknowledge the other woman. "Lady Vivienne?" she tries.

"Princess Ygraine." She nods in agreement at the name.

Vivienne doesn't sense any animosity from this woman, which means she hasn't heard the rumours, or doesn't care.

The blonde smiles warmly, relieved that she found the right person. "I am glad to finally meet you, my lady."

"Finally? I would've thought you would be the subject of interest." Though in Vivienne's case Ygraine's brothers, as well as the lady herself, are of interest.

It's said slightly in jest, as her own smile is very warm.

She laughs easily. "I have heard mentions of you and of your more mischievous adventures. My curiosity was...piqued."

Vivienne's not entirely sure which adventures the other woman is talking about. Most definitely she's not going to bring up her state of undress at the time of Nimueh's arrival.

"Which adventures are those? According to the court, I'm rife with them."

Uther's just going to readjust his crown a bit more - it's really rather tight...ow.

He spots Lady Vivienne and Princess Ygraine and once the latter leaves he might just siddle on over.

"Enjoy the celebrations?" He asks hopefully.

"I'm finding them more of a chance to be educated, more than anything, your Majesty."

Vivienne's really not looking at the King and his overly tight crown, still the crowd.

"Educated?" Uther is a little confused, but then when isn't he when women are involved?

"On your court. As the wine and ale's been flowing, it's interesting to see some of the courtiers' true selves come out."

She's currently watching one lord, attempt to pinch a maid's bottom. She doesn't look at Uther, nor can he see her eyes, but the lord in question suddenly becomes tangled in his own feet, falling face first into the floor.

Uther laughs and shakes his head at Lord Boris's failed flirtation.

"Not much luck with the ladies, Lord Boris, he wish to be a knight, but proved far too clumsy even when not drunk to gills."

Vivienne has no intention of telling Uther that Lord Boris had a little help with that faceplant. It was something her father vastly disapproved of at home, but her sisters were often grateful.

"He looks entirely unworthy to be at court. Would I be wrong to believe it's only his family that keeps him here?"

Uther grins wryly. "I'm fear so, unfortunately he and his kin have supported the Pendragon family. He passed on vital information to my army. So, he must be rewarded." Uther rolls his eyes, the courtier game is a hard one.

"He needs to be taught a lesson about the maids. If he treats them like this publicly, I wouldn't want him to meet on in a darkened alcove."

It's one of the things that can immediately bring about rather vengeful feelings from Vivienne. No one at home would've gotten away with that with her around, no matter what the sexist nature of everything says.

Lord Boris is also finding his trousers a little warm. It's not fire, just an uncomfortable warmth, that, over time, will leave very uncomfortable chafing.

Vivienne will make the attempt to be courteous. She's not entirely sure what role this man serves for the council, only that he seems rather important, and talks a lot.

Geoffrey aims to one day be the Court Archivist and work in the wonderful Library of Camelot, that of course will require hard work and dedication, despite his position as the King's old tutor.

For a moment he's slightly distracted by Lady Vivienne's style of dress, he is after all still a man.

So he might be blushing slightly as he inclines his head to her. "I am indeed, Lady, Camelot is truly at its best on such occasions, especially now that everything is right again."

When that small renegade group of courtiers had tried to take over following Crown Prince Kentigern's death and the death of the Royal Uncles things had become decidedly uncomfortable in Camelot - something that Vivienne might not have picked up on entirely being a newcomer to the place at the time.

"Everything is right?" She asks that rather amused. "With winter coming, and a nation rebuilding, I think it's more appropriate to say, that things are at least more positive for Camelot under Uther, than they were previously."

She's a realist.

She's also not blind to the fact the man took a good look at her attire. Nothing else, rather clearly on display, might get his attention.

"I presume you know everyone here?" She may know little of the man, but the one thing she does know is that he knows quite a great deal.

Geoffrey had been in genuine fear of his life just a matter of weeks ago so he is a little more optimistic than is warrented.

He nods. "His Majesty mentioned your ideas to me, they're very good. In fact they may just get us through winter." He smiles.

And he might puff a bit at her comment regarding his knowledge.

"I do indeed, my lady. Ask me whatever you wish."

"It can't save everyone. That's both impossible and unnatural, but outright famine, I hope can be avoided."

There is plenty of wine at this celebration, but the food, while present, is not extravagant. She can't help but approve. It's a message through action rather than words, from the new King.

"I would like to know who here is truly loyal to the new King -- other than the Duke of Cornwall."

Geoffrey looks slightly surprised by her question, even though he's heard the rumours, it's unusual to speak to a woman with an interest in politics.

Still, he told her he'd answer her questions so he will.

"There is Lord Godwyn," he points to a jovial looking man in his early thirties. "As well as Sir Pellinore," he points out a tall dark man who would look dangerous if not for the small child - about seven - he was showing off.

"Lord Pelwin is in charge of the treasury," the man in question is seated and looking extremely red faced and giggly.

"And finally Sir Ector, who has just been named leader of the guard." He points to the behemoth of a man who is in the process of trying to charm a very pretty lady.

"Of course, one one would hope all are loyal to the king, but those are the main ones."

He does not mention himself or Giaus as they have no great power or standing.

Looking at each and every one of the men mentioned, the only one who even slightly arouses her interest is Sir Ector, but the overly-emotional side is getting into a war with her practical one. A month before, Ector wouldn't have stood a chance.

"One would hope, but it's always best to know who are closest, should I be able to stay."
